យោងតាមសេចក្តីប្រកាសព័ត៌មានរបស់ក្រសួងវប្បធម៌ និងវិចិត្រសិល្បៈកាលពីថ្ងៃទី៣ មិថុនា ២០១៦ ឲ្យដឹងថា ថ្មីៗនេះមានសាធារណមតិជាច្រើននៅលើបណ្តាញសង្គមបានសម្តែងការចាប់អារម្មណ៍ទៅលើល្ខោនខោលដែលជាទម្រង់សិល្បៈវប្បធម៌អរូបិមួយរបស់កម្ពុជា និងរបស់ប្រទេសជិតខាងពាក់ព័ន្ធទៅនឹងការចុះបញ្ជីបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌អរូបីនៃអង្គការយូណេស្គូ ។ ក្រសួងវប្បធម៌ និងវិចិត្រសិល្បៈសូមជម្រាបជូនសាធារណជនឲ្យបានជ្រាបថា ក្នុងនាមជារដ្ឋសមាជិកមួយនៃអង្គការយូណេស្កូ កម្ពុជាបានផ្តល់សច្ចាប័នចូលជារដ្ឋភាគីនៃអនុសញ្ញាស្តីពីការការពារបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌អរូបីដែលអនុញ្ញាតឲ្យកម្ពុជាចុះរបាំក្បាច់បុរាណខ្មែរ ឬរបាំព្រះរាជទ្រព្យទៅក្នុងបញ្ជីបេតិកភណ្ឌវប្បធម៌អរូបីនៃមនុស្សជាតិនៅឆ្នាំ២០០៣ ។
